Exhaust Reccomendation

I'm looking to add my first modification to my car, I am looking for something thats more aggressive than stock but still won't draw a lot of attention or have any "drone" inside the car. Thank you for your help

Fabspeed (Moderate Version) and its a great improvement over stock, 2,500 rpm 3,500 rpm you get resonance from it, at 3,000 rpm its as tame as stock.

You may want to consider Europipe in addition to FS. They are built like a tank(build quality second to none, but you pay for it) and I have not heard of any failures. Great sound and no annoying resonance. The turbo version develops quite a bit of additional horsepower. Check out their site. They have video/soundclips of the pipes installed.

jrod,
I was going back and forth about types of exhausts for weeks. I wanted something with a more agressive sound but not too crazy. Tried Gemballa (which I am partial to) but fit was not good. Considered Europipe sounds and looks great, but ended up with Techart. Man do I love this exhaust. Sounds awesome (for my purposes) and I could immediately feel a difference. Not sure how much hp gain but definately noticeable and revs much more smooth. Now I find myself going to my garage late at nite just to start my car and hear the exhaust. Trust me, you wont have any regrets.

Hi Chad
Its Joe @ Fabspeed Motorsport
We have made several refinements to our SPORT Medium/moderate sound 996TT exhaust system. If you would like to RE-DYNO your car when its ready let me know. The system should reduce backpressure even more than before and is quieter. It would make for an interesting shoot-out!
Have a great weekend.
Joe

Chad, can you describe the stage 2 quiet version and why you prefer it over the other versions? Who has the best deal on Europipe?

Check out their site. You can hear the different versions. As far as best deal...Europipe. They only deal direct. No distributors

Hi Chad & Mansour
Chad......I can only speculate on the Power handling capacity of our 996TT exhaust system. I can only tell you that once the exhaust gas passes through the 100 cell catalytic converter........of any of the Fabspeed Motorsport exhaust systems..........the spent exhaust passes through the system without restriction or baffles or chambers. Essentially, after the catlytic converter anyone can ROLL a GOLF ball right out of the tailpipe. Just let me know when you want to try one. No problem.

Mansour- I didnt get your email. Just email me off my website or info@fabspeed.com or call 2156464945

Have a great weekend.........its January 2nd and 63dregrees in Philadelphia. This winter is great!

hey Joe, in your tests have there been significant power differences between the Sport and the Super Sport exhausts or is it mainly just a sound issue?

I installed a Fabspeed Sport exhaust a few days ago, and I must say it sounds great. It does drone a bit around 2K - 2.4K rpms, but it's not unbearable. On full throttle it sounds great!! As for the claimed 35Hp gain.......well, lets just say the jury is still out on that one... I'm having the ECU tuned Monday and hope to have it dynoed shortly thereafter. Overall fit and finish was quite good, but not impeccable. Some minor modification to the exhaust bracket on the car was required to get the muffler to align properly with the catalytic converters. Overall, I am still very pleased.

Mansour,

I have a Fabspeed Sport Exhaust on my 996TT (and am awaiting one on my Cayenne TT). I am pleased in every respect (power, sound, quality) with the Fabspeed system and can tell you from experience that Joe Fabiani is a man of his word.

Loren
