Dragstrip in KSA
Hey everyone this is a new dragstrip that's about to open in the next few days in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. So you had the white 996 Turbo! OK we met, but I did not know it was you on 6speed, nice car!
It was a lot of fun, first ever drag strip to open in Saudi.
Not really sticky, a bit narrow and not enough braking space, meaning you cannot run a 9 second car there, so I decided to skip
They are still in the building phase though, kudos to them for taking the initiative and risk their money, not easy in this country because of a ban on tracks, racing, etc until very recently..
As far as the times related to heat, altitude etc..I got some on video, typical 996GT2 ran around 121mph or so at 12.1. The stock 993TT ran 12.77@112mph with a 2.0s 60' you can tell traction is not there..
