9ff excellence article inside

Here is an article from Excellence from a couple of years ago. It features a 996tt tuned by 9ff in Germany. Im sure many of you have already seen it but if not Im sure you will find it interesting. This is the article that started me dreaming about a tuned 996tt. Beautiful photos and (at the time for me), unimaginable power.

Im not really good with downsizing large scans so be patient with the attachments.

I thought it was kind of interesting what they say about RWD conversion. How the front diff can get hot and seize at times. Wonder if thats true.

Thanks!

We like them a bunch too. Elegant and aggressive. The 10" fit Boxster/Carrera While the 10.5" works with the turbo/GT2/GT3.

We have 3 sets coming in within the month. Only 1 is available, but it only takes ~1 month to get more.

I became personally smitten by 9ff's smooth power delivery about 18 months ago when I first sampled a 600HP car. Despite using larger (the present kit uses K28 sized turbo but no cams) custom turbos, their ECU tuning is able to make the engine that much stronger pre-boost, such that lag remained at a minimum for such large turbos. The custom air collector box and piping also reduces lag, but then allows power to be liberated in exponentially greater explosive fashion as the rpms climb.

The variables that they modify in their ECU are truly impressive - they tweak things that nobody else has even thought to do!

BTW - what do you think of these wheels?

They were designed for high HP/speed applications. Yep, thats an 650HP cab. It did 350.1 kph at Nardo last month.
