I have been in many ultra high performance cars and none of them can compare.
A bone stock bike can turn sub 10 sec. 1/4 mi. times with 145 mph trap speeds.

A turbo "Busa" with a swingarm, shifter and a few other mods has incomprehensible acceleration with top speeds of 225 mph!

I don't know...I'll have to see it with my own eyes to believe any street legal car can out accelerate a properly set up turbo "Busa."

Take a look at this insane acceleration.....

No one even mentioned that they beat a turbo busa

Only a turbo busa that has a ****load of power will do over 200mph. We tested a friends highly modded one in AZ with GPS and radar and only hit 194mph. He said the speedo was pegged at 220....

I killed a 2003 ZX9R several times in a row... The guy just could believe it that why he kept coming until eventually he gave up.

From 3rd gear at 4000revs (when other cars get out of the way) we both step on it and he clearly keeps up until I hit 4th gear then I start inching away and by the time I change to 5th gear it seemed he was braking which mislead me but then we did it again and now I kept my foot down, when I engage 6th gear (150mph+) I start to open bus lengths on him. I'mobviusly slaughtered from 1st gear but the turning point is 3/4th gear and above. We tested it about 6 or 7 times and the description above is for the straigth line only because when there was turns he simply couldn't keep up.

quite honestly, i have no idea how you guys are beating liter bikes. there are several bone stock liter bikes out here that will turn sub 10's with trap speeds in the mid 140's. i don't think anyone has broken into the 9's on here. considering that the launch is the limiting factor on bikes with stock swingarms and that they really can't hammer it to WOT until the shift into 3rd, roll ons are incredibly fast. exhaust, eprom tuning, longer swingarm, ride height drop and the quarter miles are just sick with the right rider.

what do you think is giving you the edge here, as on paper, it seems impossible given the power to weight ratio? please leave 600cc bikes out of this as they'll still smoke 90 percent of you in the quarter, but really have no torque to peform any decent roll ons. i had an 05 ZX10 and I just imagine any one of you hanging from a 50mph roll on. the acceleration is just blistering. now my ducati on the other hand, vtwin torque but i would probably get dusted by the latest greatest 600's in any sort of speed contest

okay well this story is the crazest thing that has happened and it happened i think a month ago didnt remember till last night when my boy who was with me reminded some friends of how its hazardous to your health to be in my car and that you lose medical once you buckle up... But yeah

Was comming back to Thousand oaks from Westlake in Los Angeles/Ventura area on the 101... A 2006 R1 rolls up next to me while getting on the freeway... from the being this guy is just like reving all over me... So we get on the freeway and i let him go first as i know i got no chance at least i didnt think so and my boy didnt either... Well at about 70 or so we get next to each other and just go... its about 10pm on the 101 ..not empty but not packed either...I really never know how fast we are going as we usually stop somewhere in mid 5 with him in my rear view. But anyways we do this about 3 times me beating him evertime... Then about heck i say 30 seconds after we stop he pulls ahead a little cause i slowed down back to 75 or so quicker and he was doing i figure 80... Right then and there CHP pulls up behind me... REAL QUICK....flys next to my window...pauses next to me for a moment then flys off and pulls over the bike... my *** of a friend literally WAVED.... I AM SORRY TO THE BIKER IF HE READS THIS... as i worry everytime now i race a bike if a cops gonna get me for my karma....... but i bloody laughed all the way home...

It comes down to riders. I think most guys who ride liter bikes can't use all of the power to their advantage. Now the guys who know how to ride them would easily take everybody on this site from a 60 punch with exception of cars like VRA's, CJV's, and Craigs(maybe a few others but thats from the top of my head). I'm sorry but sub 140 traps won't cut it even on the freeway against a new R1 or GSXR 1k. I remember racing modded GSXR 1k's with my Supra and it took everything I had to pull on them (35psi on my T72) from a 60 roll and that's some serious power.

From a stop light I beat a CBR 900, granted he was fighting to keep his front wheel down but I pulled him hard all the way to about 140 when I shut down.

A win is a win regardless of the reasons. On paper is very different than real world.

Exactly, I find it funny beating up on bikes that I know should destroy my car!

DDog I think that it comes down to riders. I have riden for around 25 years and it always amazed me at some of the people that I have seen on the road that had no business on a bike without training wheels. On my first street bike I had a CBR 600 with a 102hp White Brothers kit on it and beat many cars. I only had one that was even close, a mid 90s mustang with a blower sticking out of the hood, it shook the ground when he pulled up to me at the light. We ran up to 140 and he was about a car lenght behind me.

Hey now, we were at the same place! I didn't see your car in the valet, but then again, I wasn't exactly sober to be able to notice. Did you see that weird dance performance they had? what was that about?

With my level 2 I have raced a good bunch....

With 600's the results are the same everytime I pull a good amount of car lenghts from any speed (I have started from 40MPH, 60mph, 80mph etc and its the same every time).

Ran my buddies CBR1000RR (2006) and that thing pulled me pretty good and he could have downshifted 2 more gears but didn't need to!

Takes more than 500HP to be a 1000cc

I agree, but I also have been riding since I was 14 and have had my fair share of large CC bikes. Mostly GSXR 1100s other than a CBR 1000F. I now have an R1 and a Suzuki Boulevard 109R (1800CC) Very rarely have I run into a guy that can launch or keep the wheel from spinning and above 80-100 the push is unreal compared the frontal area of my cars. I know what it takes to beat a HP heavy weight and few on the street have the skill to launch or ride a bike. I use to burn through 3 clutches a riding season dragging mine.

I laugh when I pull up to someone and they are giving a little pull of the grip, one leg on the brake and the other on the ground. I have only been beat a couple of time by sub 10 cars and that is with me launching out of the hole with the rev limiter smacking. That or a sleeper that didn’t alert me to stand on the damn thing from the hole. I also will not run anything big from a 100 roll in my bikes. Hands down in the car I have out run a modified ZX12R. He and I were almost neck and neck from a 90 roll until 183-185ish at which point I start to walk him. He and I were both surprised that either one of us were near the other. His buddy in the stock Busa was picking his nose about 6 cars behind us. Unless I hear or see the guy sitting next to me doing the things I know have to be done he is not going to get my TT.

Of course my car is far from 500HP

This is a debate we have had for 15 years.

Stephen,
I agree, and if you must race a bike:
the higher speed you start at the better,
so start increasing your speed before you start.

All bikes are way off on the speedo that fast. My 1200 Suzuki was showing about 15-18 mph fast at speeds over 150.

Some of these cars here must be crazy fast to beat bikes this big, because mine scared the holy hell out of me. It's a hard feeling to get used to when you have to fight to hold on it's accelerating so fast.
