How many of you have raced (and beaten) a motorcycle?
I personally raced a 999 Ducat bike some time back while the car was modified with a EVO STAGE IV Kit. Sine the car is a tiptronic, he managed to get ahead for the first 300 meters, then i passed him at 120+ mph. He wasn't a bad driver at all.
bottom line: cars are faster than bikes..

until VRALEX sets up something where cars and bikes can be driven together, side by side, in a spirited and safe fashion.. .. incl. vids etc..

come on Alex, let's go...!

In a 670hp Supra on ET streets been side by side with a ZX12R to 150, but beyond that the ET's started getting squirmish after that speed on the road where where on. I had just watched the bike run 9.8 to the Supras 10.2 at the track but from a roll it was a much better race. Seen plenty High HP cars keep up with big displacement bikes, just takes quite a bit of power.

It all depends on the bike.I can beat a Suzuki Katana with my Harley Road KING up to 100,and they look like a fast sport bike to the average guy.

i have a duc. looks like pure sex on wheels, but it couldn't come any where near the sheer power of my old 05 ZX10. ducs are a great track bike due to the vtwin power, but they suck *** on the highway for roll ons.
joetwint,
I have a good idea on how much faster the Suzuki Hayabusa, GSXR1000, Yamaha R1, Kawasaki ZX12, ZX10 and Honda CBR1000RR are vs. the Ducati 999. To enlighten you a bit more, i managed to stay ahead of a couple of Honda CBR1000RR's as well as a Kawasaki ZX9R, from a 70mph roll.

Love the Duc, the 916 was one of my favorites. They are one of a kind!

Seriously the Ducs are pieces of art and great bikes just not considered to be one of the faster liter bikes in a straight line. You can't brag about beating a 10 year old liter bike because they are not as fast as the new ones today.Same way you can walk into a Benz dealer and buy a big body Benz that will beat just about every 750 from 10 years ago.No offense to anyone!!

Okay...I finally raced a bike bigger than a 600 today. A V-max. It was a fair race...we started on the 3rd honk from 60-130 or so. I beat him so bad it wasn't even funny.
Yes...I know it isn't a 'busa or R1 (not even close), but it was the best I could find on my way to myBuddy's house. I read they run mid 10's at 129...so it's no slouch either.
He gave me a very enthusiastic thumbs-up and was smiling and shaking his head at my car.
