WTF! - Need suggestions
SubscribeIf you do approach Porsche to lemon it, I would not do it yourself, I know that people here have had not too hard of a time to do lemon law claims themselves, but Porsche reps are dicks, and they will make you look like a fool in front of the arbitrator that you will have to present your case too. Then if you lose you will have to goto court to get it resolved...not fun. Anyway, if you really meet the requirments of your state pay a the attornies fees to get a new car, its not worth the hastle for you to deal with it.

2003 Lemon (Case On going)
Guys,
Thanks for your comments and support. My first approach will be to get a simular car with simular miles, etc.. from the dealer
If that does not work then I am going the Lemon Car route.
I will keep you updated!

MWEELS,
I think what you are trying to achieve is the hard route, you are basically asking for a trade assist...Which porsche told me outright they do not do. A dealership may, but porsche as a corp does not. If you are over 30 days, or whatever the cali Lemon Law is just tell them to give you the number for the regional rep, call him and tell him you are going to do lemon law, this will either accomplish one of two things, first get the point across that fix my car or you(Porsche) lose money...or two get the ball rolling on a lemon law claim. At that point the dealer may be presured into being a little more accomidating to make you happy by Porsche and you will get your similar car with simlar miles, however it won't be your car how you ordered it. Now if your car is used when you bought it that makes it a whole different situatioin that I can explain if that is the case.

That's because you don't have the "Wilber" hookup at McKenna. Originally posted by 02barebones996

If you do, they are the best service department in the country.
Besides, MWEELS did not buy his car from McKenna-- he's lucky because the sales department is HORRIBLE over there
They have one sales manager named Dave who is the biggest ******* even by automotive industry standards.MWHEELS; have they been looking at the vacuum lines from the Diverter Valves and the Turbo's and the Emissions Control System? My car has been in twice (it's a 2001) for these issues and it stumped the service department for a while. I am forming the opinion that if there is a "notorious" area for TT problems it lies in these various lines.

i will never buy a car from mckenna porsche....
the slaes manager there about a couple of years ago was the biggest a$$hole... they tried to sell me a 996 that i did not order twice! yes twice! they tried to pass it off as the car that i ordered... yeesh... i thikn the sales manager's name was eithr don heard he got fired from mckenna. good riddance..
Well I went last night to see if there is anything worth trading for. There was not. I have quite a unique car I am afraid. I talked to the service manager and he beleives the car will be wrapped up by the end of the week. They are either going to put new fuel injectors in or a new engine.
I will keep you posted. Right now I am giving them the benifit of the doubt. I have done so much to my car I would hate to go through all the trouble with attorneys, etc..
However, my patients is running thin.
Stay tuned..
