Im sure there was a reason.. sometimes at certain events.. the track rules don't apply and the group renting the track use there rules. I don't know what his situation was... but yous don't have to give him so much ****. My buddy couldn't run his Saleen at a Ford Event Mid Michigan.. his trap was in the upper 120's and they wanted him to have a fuel cell and a fire suit.

Martin, no offense man. Most gave you credit for your performance on the dyno. Since the corrected number(s) is what's getting everybody's panties in a bunch, leave it out (sig).

You should have known a bunch of these cats were going to come after you. Show the timeslips and shut them up - even though they'll probably argue that to the death too.

Good luck.

Martin, dont sweat it... whats important is that ur car is fast to u... and not anyone else on the board... If u hit 120 mph IM super happy... then I know its dead on... if u do anything above then IM super happy for u... but even if its 118mph its still where it should be... so dont sweat it.. and dont worry about the time... casue it takes a **** load of practice and alot of clutch burning to to get a single fast time... suggestion... drop the air to 22 psi front and back... yes only 22 psi... and let go of the cluthc at only 2800 rmps and not more then 3K.... so u dont overrev. if u want to heat up the tires just do a quick burn out... and turn off PSM.
enjoy.
markski

Craig,

Recently a lot of NHRA certified tracks have been moving to a mandatory firesuit for all racers, regardless of the ET cutoffs.

Get used to it martin, its only getting worse on here. Anyway, you know i believe in you . I know that (at least at our local track) any car that has FI requies a fire suit and if you run a sub 11 or 12-second time, it requires a cage for a 2nd pass. I know youre not making excuses, bud. Prove the haters wrong!

The NHRA has instituted a new rule for 2006, it states that:
"As of February 1st all vehicles with an aftermarket power adder, (nitrous, turbocharger, or supercharger) will be required to wear an SFI approved fire jacket"

Quted from here:
http://firebirdraceway.com/06web/06_streetdrags.html

Each track may use its own discretion on safety procedures.

So if our cars come with turbos from the manufacturer we dont need fire jackets?. Have you been wearing a fire jacket joe?

That states "Aftermarket" power adder. His turbos are stock from the Factory! So this rule would not apply to him or it would if he told them that his car was "Pumped Up" with different Turbos and add ons.
