Evoms Intercooler Kits

Heya guys, just got word the production EVO Clubsport intercoolers should be ready by the end of this week (early next- ready to ship) and I've got a few sets on order already obviously. I still have a couple more spots (they're in high-demand) so if any of you guys wants a set lemme know

Just a couple of notes- you do NEED the EVO hoses to use these and if you have the original style hoses with the billet ends you're still just fine. You'll be using new clamps is all

Also just so you know... the boost hose kit is now cheaper than the original 1375 and 995 instead but you _do_ need these to use the intercolers.

Alex,

How much more superior are these units as compared to an OEM X50 intercooler? What kind of power increase and approx. how many hours of labour to do the swap?

Thanks brother.

Hey man... the end tanks of the OEM X50 or stock are knecked down pretty awkwardly and hence you get some good restriction there. I think most tuners would agree that anything around 550 or above and the GT2 intercoolers become a bottleneck especially for sustaining any power levels. EVO's billet end tanks take care of that and their core is not only thicker but more efficient and the end result is better flow. The higher HP cars out there certianly benefit. I remember the last time I was at EVO they dyno'd a GT700 car with GT2 IC's and then with their intercoolers and got 37 to the wheels difference. Now it won't be as much on lower level HP cars.

Did They Have To Reprogram Ecu To Achieve That Horsepower Gain... Also To Put On A New Fuel System Do You Have To Drop The Motor?

I doubt they have to re-program the ECU - these things are pretty adaptable

You defintely do not have to drop the engine. Just the rear bumper...

No need to redo the ECU. To do the fuel kit- it's a good idea to drop the motor yes

PS They're $900 when purchased with the intercoolers.

You guys think that getting these intercoolers would be a worthwhile investment once I go to either a k26/k18 hybrid or GT640 set-up?

For the GT640 kits, an IC upgrade of some sort would certainly be beneficially. Anything above 550-600 for sure.
