Chrysler Supercar Wow!

Anyone have the new Autoweek. Chrysler has kept a secret Supercar and just revealed it. Very nice looking with a quad turbo V12 making 850 hp and 850 ft lb of torque. Weight is 2980 lbs making 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds!

WOW!

Hey Buddy if you read more on line it is designed and built by Benz there v-12 motor. It is impressive but it still is a dodge and it ain't no "HEMI".

Jax is correct,

The engine was built in house by AMG (not exactly Benz) and they started from scratch.

Chrysler said something along the lines of, "we want an engine that makes 800hp and weighs less than 500 pounds." Benz returned an engine that made an extra 50hp but weighed 25 pounds over the target. Chrysler didn't seem to mind

Thats exactly what happened with the mclaren f1, Gordon murray wanted 550 bhp but very little weight, but got 627 and a bit more weight then he wanted, but he was happy!

Price est. according to Autoweek is about 450k
I don't know about you guys, but for that kind of coin, the CGT looks better to me.
But the numbers on the Chrysler ARE rather impressive.
How much would I love to compare them by the seat of my own pants?
!!!!

Actually what they said was that it would slot between the Ford GT $150,000 and the Enzo $650,000 so there is a lot of wiggle room in there.

How is it a Dodge? Dodge isn't the parent company, and what would be the big deal anyway with numbers and looks like that?

Dtd350Z If I am going to spend upto 450K on a car weather you call it a Dodge or Chrysler it won't be in my top 5 choices. It was only a play on a cliche. I saw the pictures on read the story it is a very impressive Auto but from concept to true production we will have to see. And besides to quote another famous cliche.

"Porsche there is no substitute!"

Quite understandable. It's tough to tell one's intentions on the internet, I guess I kinda thought you were knocking it.
