Zero Clearance Turbos?

What company makes these turbos? What are the advantages?

How can a turbo have zero clearance in the impeller? Wouldn't it just be stuck?

I am looking to upgrade the turbos, intercoolers, DV, software, and exhaust and wanted to educate myself on the different options.

Thanks.

-Chris

Sharky, if your car did not have monkeytronic, how much faster would you say it would do on the 1/4.

Well to be honest, I've watched that video over and over now with friends and everyone who was there (you can hear it in the commentary) was saying that the launch where their software screwed up and they didn't log had the best launch of the day and was faster than the 11.1 that I got. Obviously I don't have the high mph like Tyson but I do think that was possibly a 10.9/11.0. Certainly better than the 11.1. If I didn't have the monkeytronic my car wouldn't be as consistent but by the they only recorded my third run. First two they didn't and the car just gets slower and slower as it heats up so who knows... And yes gearing would be different (aka my first wouldn't suck so much). Tough to say. Of course, there are a couple of other tricks up our sleeve for the track (not sure if we will/won't do the throttle body) so that I can hopefully come back with that 10.9.... It's within range. Then maybe with newer software rev's who knows. I can certainly shave some more weight. I'll use the straight pipes also this time...

Any plans for getting a custom GIAC Program based around the Zero Clearance Turbos any time soon?

Buddy, if you are sending your car out and tearing it down, properly done, you will be close. Mine is stock so I really don't know for sure.
