Have you seen this, I just love the way the Turbo just smokes the CL65....yet the stats at the very end seem somewhat deceiving...nonetheless, very cool video to watch!! Enoy!! (BTW, I would never own the CL65...)

I wouldn't say that cl65 got smoked. The Ruf beat it off the line handily then they were damn close after that.

I don't see how the CL was able to hang?
Way too close for comfort if I spent the money on the Ruf package.

4255/738 ft lbs = 5.76# per ft lb

3325/550 hp = 6.04# per HP
3325/564 ft lbs = 5.89# per ft lb

The porsche definitely has the weight advantage, but the benz has a much broader power curve...it makes power at 2k rpm to redline, where the porsche isn't as fat.

I was thinking the 550 is a very conservative number at the crank.

 

Numbers Shmumbers, the CL was a hanging and reeling in. The CL65 is not slouch once it gets in the triple digits.
