Who's gonna run the Gambler 100 with us?

Once the profiling is done at concorso, how some some hammer down runnin' in the big D? the big Nevada desert.

The Elko high speed race starts 8/22-8/24, and i invite and expect to see some of yall hotrodin mo fo's there!!!!

CFR/Ruf-Racer or Crazy, yet elegant and stylishly fast, F.g Roland kindly introduced me to the Pony Express 100 last weekend. Thank you again, Roland, and special thanks to Carl and Ellen Young.

Net/Net:

-the drive up from Malibu is worthwhile anyway: 600 no cop, no traffic miles of hammer down... absolutely delightful and amusing...
-Team porsche is good fun, and even the corvette guys were gentlemen and scholars [of speed]
- the level of knowledge available to you to expand your personal safety and performance at speed is ineffably deep. draw from the source, for free. some people talk and some people know. and when Roland and Carl talk you hear important sh^t.
-you can run bone stock at 124
-you can run to 165 w/ bar, harness, extinguisher. preferably a racing seat and helmet
- there is no pressure and you set your own limit
-Elko is a nice town, the race route beautiful and Lamoille Canyon 20 mi away w/ beautiful hiking/viewing/lunching.

Tyson, Wilbur, Roland and i will be at Elko, and i hope more of you will join us. certainly time isn't Chad? any questions?

Hey, I've seen that guy before!

Looks like you got the GT3 seats and rollbar, were you able to get the carbon backed version? Are those Schroth harness 2.5" or 3"? They look abit on the narrow side.

It be fun to be up there with you guys, but I've resolved to not making it up there this year. Have fun and be safe.

See you in the "hood"!

oak,
get your butt to Elko man!!! Tyson, Wilbur, Roland and Carl and I will be there!!!!! you'll love it.
no comment-- those are 2 inch, which will be THREE inch. Over engineering your safety is the best way to lower your risk profile.

i dont know about the hayab thing. he has run 200 thru the rain up here though with grace and speed. and Roland and Carl have averaged 187 and 198 respectively for 100 miles, think about it!!!!!

Oak i need your help on prepping the gt3 for Elko, it arrived dealer last night and i'll have it this wekend... and i'm taking it on the 1300 miles comparison cruise to race in elko.

When is this thing? I've always wanted to do an open road race, either in someone else's Porsche or in my racecar...

Any ideas what class an SCCA T2 M3 would be put in?

Also, where does the race stage? Do I need a navigator?
