I have her back FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, after a total of 12 weeks and 3 days, I finally have my Turbo back from getting the tranny fixed for the 2nd gear pop-out issue. Some of you guys may remember the whole ordeal with the extended warranty I had getting cancelled. Anyway, I am so glad to once again feel the onset of boost and acceleration. My Audi A6 Avant (0-60 in 9.8 secs) just was not cutting it for me.

Anyway, while driving the Turbo home, I got the "Rear Spoiler Failure" light and one crooked looking GT2 blade on the rear of my car. What is the best thing to do. I want to disconnet the wiring harness and leave it down. I did try a search also...but it didn't pull exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

Hey Mark, would that help since the spoiler is going up crooked....left side is all the way up...but right is only 1/2 up. Then when going down the right goes down then the left follows...and half way down, it just kinda goes "clunk" and drops maybe 1-2 inches .

But I will try disconnecting the battery.

rajtt is infamous around these parts
I was one of those that followed your saga with the transmission issue. How did the chips fall in the end? Did you get a brand new or a remanufactured tranny or just had yours rebuilt? Did Porsche cover any of the costs? Thanks and glad to know your car is back and healthy again!

Hey Rajtt, after all of this time waiting, the total bill came out being a few dollars shy of $10,000. I also got brakes flushed and an oil change. Luckily for me I paid absolutely nothing for the repairs. I caused enough stink at the dealership I work at, and they paid the entire tab. As far as I know, the tranny was a remanufactured unit from Porsche. I am so glad I have her back...except for my spoiler problem.

Here ya go
Unplug the harness on the right side of the engine deck.
If you look at the harness from the rear, with the lock at the top;
start at the bottom row.
thick brown and thick black = fan motor
next to them a thin red/blue and brown/red =lamp
next is a single thin wire for brake light power
top row; BLANK, then first is a single wire for the brake light(signal), next a green gray spoiler switch wire, next yellow/green thick spoiler motor (positive) , next thin gray/brown spoiler switch, last thick green/blue (ground)spoiler motor.
Unplug the thick green/blue, by pulling it out of the harness (ground for motor)
jump the spoiler switch wire, thin gray/brown with a spoiler power thick yellow/green. did it by using a paper clip
No light no hot spoiler motor wires

Hey Kevin..thanks, I bought my car used also with 5k miles on it a little over 2 years ago. I had installed the B&M SSK, and thought the car felt notchy and tight, but it had some play in the shifts. After the new tranny install, the shifter feels real tight and exact. I actually like it alot better now. I am still trying to get used to driving a manual again.... ...its been over 12 weeks with my Audi Tiptronic tranny. When I came home tonight (big downhill), I was getting prepared to hear the "clunk" and 2nd gear pop-out....but nope it stayed right in gear.

Hey Stephen, once again thanks for your expertise and knowledge. Hopefully the spoiler issue is just a fluke and will work like normal again. Question though, I pulled the fuse for a temp fix...row D, number 7...15 amp fuse, and I am getting a new message...something like trunk/lid open...followed by "rear spoiler failure". Is this normal since I yanked the fuse?
