I use KW Variant III coilovers on mine and love them. Check my past threads. I cannot compare the PSS9s and springs. I would say keep your H&Rs stay away from Bilsteins they are not worth it-- Joe
What do you mean by "comfy"
The stock shocks with lowering springs will yield a ride that is over sprung and under dampened. Our USA shocks that our cars come equipped with do not have enough rebound to control the stiffer springs-
Pss9's will be more compliant and offer a better shock/spring combination.
Still not optimum but not bad either.. Way better than a lowering spring and stock shock set up.
Keep in mind the better the shock the better the ride will get....
We have several cars running around with Moton Club Sport /JRZ or Ohlins and the ride is comfortable - compliant and signifigantly improved.
There are alot of myths about shocks and springs.....
And most of the stuff you buy off the shelf as a kit is only worth what you pay for it.......... Dont expect a $2500.00 suspension kit to offer the same level of performance and comfort a real shock and properly matched spring combination will.
Just my .02 cents........

Having gone from H&R springs to PSS9's, I can say that I will never look back. The Bilsteins are not only more comfortable, but the car is way less bouncy in high speed sweepers. There may be better suspension setups out there, but I don't have any experience with them.
Don't know about H&R, but my FVD PSS9s are very much smoother while being much stiffer when really pushing it. It's almost magical
