WOW ... that's gonna cost a BOMB on the Turbo!
I think I'm changing my mind about installing that...

I might as well go for Stage4..
do you recomend that EVO stage4 kit?

I wouldn't go nearly to the extent that this guy did... His approach looked like overkill to me. I was thinking of just adding some sound proofing in the back end of the car, around the area that separates the engine compartment and the cockpit.

I highly recommend the stage 4gt. Phenominal acceleration, yet more driveable than stock (less lag, better responsiveness). My car dynoed at 540 rwhp and runs like a scalded cheatah. The guys at EVO are also very knowledgeable and offer extremely good service. My best aftermarket experience by far.

Had my car flatbedded to the nearest dealer. They said they couldn't find any leaks and just removed and reinstalled my MAF since the values were out of whack. Upon driving home, same problem!

I then had my car flatbedded to a different dealer. I called today and they mentioned that one of the turbo vaccuum units failed and they will be replacing it. Part should be replaced and the car road tested by tomorrow evening. We'll see how that goes.

Dan, That's strange, do you know what they meant by vacuum units? There are no vacuum units on the turbo, unless they meant the diaphram for the waste gate actuator?? That's the only mechanism that is operated by vacuum. keep me posted!

Hey, now... I've never killed any wildlife! Ok. I do anticipate killing a few snakes and prancing horses here and there. But, nothing on the endangered species list.

Oak,

I believe you are correct, it is the diaphram for the waste gate actuator. Although rare, that is what they believe is causing the problem. We shall see, I hope they are correct.
