So what do you think of everyone upgrading to the 1 bar garrett springs... all the non GT series cars will have some issues with the TB and or limp mode....???
Honestly, I think the stiffer springs should be sold when the ecu is written for such an upgrade...
I don't know.. just asking...

I have no issue with that. In fact we have done that for a while. The idea is you make the delta less from the FV to the boost level. If you keep it at 20% or lower than the gate can operate much faster to release boost and allow it to stay longer. It is no different than preloading the wastegate, just a more appropriate way of doing it. The ECU doesn't care. It looks for an overall boost level and controls the FV based on that. If you are not going over then you aren't going to have an issue and preloading to 12mm verses a 1 bar spring will not change a thing. The ECU will be fine.

ebaker is infamous around these parts
It would be real easy to forget to re-connect the wastegate hose when changing plugs.

Hmm...very interesting since I had the plugs changed when the engine and tranny were out. The only problem is I can't find that damn hose.
