Exclamation Picking Up MY new TT CAB X50 This Monday

I can't believe it, but this Monday, I am dropping off my old Boxster S and taking home my new, TT Cab X50--slate grey/black, six speed standard, sports seats w/painted slate gray backs, painted air intake slats @ front, slate gray interior paint that mimic's the large artic package, thick steering wheel, alum. gauges, alum. door sills, turbo crest in seats, "Turbo" script in arm rest cover; red stiching rather than standard color, red seat belts, 6 disc CD changer. I have had dealer also install a SRX+ detector, gray turn signals and the air bag deactivator/kids seat set up installed.

Since I am a new 911 Turbo owner, any suggestions for what to check for or verify at the dealer prior to taking it home? Any other dealer items that I should get before taking the car?

Thanks.

Future items being considered after reading this forum for months: 19" wheels, Fabspeed exhaust, replacement billets, Ruf or Techart alum. pedal set, alum. dial surrounds (where do you get these?), and, is it worth up grading or changing the air-filter box(?).

Rave, be good to that baby...

first time in 15 years I'm Porscheless but know you're the man for the car. Can't wait to see it with Carbon fiber it will look awesome. now you just have to do some engine tuning and reach the top of the hill over all the other L.I. tt's! Rave, good luck with the tt and welcome to 6speed, officially!

KAGNJ, welcome and good luck. It sounds like an awesome-looking car. Definately do wheels as it transforms the exterior like nothing else. For all the other stuff, you are on the right track but don't follow what's going on here as you will never be satisfied. Rave, enjoy the car and I'm sure Dr. Bill is pleased to know it will be local and cared for by an enthusiast. Dr. Bill, you aren't Porsche-less lest you forget your son's car you just showed me yesterday!

Thanks for the thoughts. I have looked at the wheels thread, but can't seem toi decide whether the 19's are worth the effort or I should stick to the 18's. I read about potential issues with the larger wheels, but they seem to look better. Any thoughts on this?

I think at-the-limit performance will be hampered by 19's, otherwise there is a small ride penalty which gets offset by the looks advantage.

Thanks all. I will post pictures as soon as I can.

As to wheels, I do like the 19's, any recommendations. How do you know if spacers are needed? Do wheels that require spacers cause other issues?

Thanks again for the info.
