Racing a modded wrx tonight
I have a friend who is really into the local street racing scene here in Mexico city. He calls me a couple of days ago with a guy who wants to race me and is talking a bunch of smack about how he is going to kill me. Wants to go from a stop. So I say OK, lets go from a stop to 150. Ive got a nice deserted freeway onramp in mind with a sweet straight away on good pavement. My friend says hes got a big turbo with a FMI. Its a wrx wagon. I cant imagine a wrx has much of a chance above 100, what do you guys think? Ill try to get my friend to take some vids and post them later.
Unfortunately my car just started hesitating pretty bad at full boost so Im down on power a bit until I take it into EVOMS in a couple of weeks.

change ur spark plugs...
well I have a TT and a mitsu 8... depending on what he has doen to it... even on stock motor he can take u.... it really depends....

WRX's lose out on top end. He's depending on the awd launch to see him through, but he probably doesn't realize that TT's are AWD too. I have seen a WRX make 450+ hp, but that was running 3 bar on a custom built T88, fully built JDM engine, and C16 gas
My friend has an 18g turbo, new block, front mount, this and that and makes good power! My M3 which was a freak, but when it was stock pulled him, my SC'd M3 would have made him look like he was standing still and that's what my turbo feels like to my M3!
I dont think you will have a problem at all with what you mentioned, doesnt matter if they put out 500 hp and torque, compared to a 996tt with 500hp and tq, even though they have same power, they are a world of a difference when racing against each other, dont know what it is!

Stock WRX wagon run arround 13:05@107-108
if he got stock internals with big turbo them he'S not boosting more 15psi so not more then 12:80@115MPH
so you should be ok depending if as forged is engin
