Question Light Weight Fly Wheel And Straight Pipes?

Well I hate to actually ask possibly unanswerable questions but here goes...
My car is stock except the LWFW and REVO soft ware. I recently went from 100 cell cats and straight pipes to just straight pipes.
Now the car stalls out when the rpms are around 5k and you hold the clutch in. Revs drop very fast and car stalls.
Ok that was the old news. the car was at the dealer for 2 weeks where they changed the FPR, throttle body, MAF, and basically checked anything they could think of. Well, $1200 later I drove the car home and it does the EXACT SAME THING!
Now I am not asking for answers at this point, but I dont know if these cars can tolerate no back pressure and a LWFW, cause dealer is implying that's now the problem.
So the question is is there anybody our there who is successfully running a LWFW with straight pipes and no cats or am I all alone out here?

Thanks so much for any opinion on these cars with the LWFW and straight pipes or if you actually are running this set up with no problem, I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks in advance!!!

tom

I talked with VB about your car. He said that you were having some issues at Sebring as well. Have you checked the FPR? Give him a call and explain the exact symptoms, he might be able to help.

Thanks Luis, Bob was in the car with me when it started. He said he thought it was the FPR, I had it changed it made no difference.

Mark, I had the car at the track with the 100 cell cats and straight pipes for 6 months and the car ran great. I recently took the cats off and run straight pipes from the turbos out. Do you think that the car should run ok like that?
I'm just trying to pick through the variables now that the dealer has run out of suggestions. Their fall back is always well whatever didnt come from the factory has to be put back to spec. Meaning that they dont know whats wrong either. thanks

Did you try putting the stock exhaust on and driving the car to see if it still stalls...that may eliminate the exhaust not being the problem since Markski ran his fine.

Tom, I suggested this before, but the revo software does not compensate for the FPR. So the programming needs to be updated. Don't know if they (Revo) do this?

M3 and wross you are both correct. I am going to place a stock muffler on to try it. and wross "they say it does" but I dont know.
thanks, again, I'll let ya know.
But the question still is "do this cars need backpressure after the turbos?"
Anyone know? Cause I dont!

I can't offer a solution but I can attest that I have the same problem with my car stalling.

w/ my protomotive tuning (just to clarify the state of my car at the time), it would stall here & there w/ a lwfw and 100 cell cats. however, it wasn't as consistent as you described in your other post.

hey tom.. not sure of all the mods you have but the 5bar FPR is going to make it run pretty darn rich down low and not as well as a 3.8bar which I'm guessing the car is programed for? Don't know much about revo so I'm not sure.

Thanks Alex, I used the EVO 1:1 FPR in hopes that that would not happen?
