Thats a great video, but i think that perhaps your speedo may be quite a bit out. As the acceleration is mind numbingly quick.

I found this out with our car ( R turbo 550) and that for some reason they can be a long long way out. We had to have ours recalibrated at Ruf. For instance we would regurlarly see 205mph on the speedo when real speed was mid 184/185mph.

Great video none the less,

all the best

+1 Ace,

less screen showing water temp and more showing Tachometer...
and yes boost would be interesting as well, and the speedo seems
a little optomistic as it sweeps past 200.

thanks for showing this!

hey buddy how are you?

20mph off is WAY off! yikes! what was the reason for that?

by the way, noticed you've sold your Alpina... the question now of course becomes... what are you getting as a replacement?

Hey JV!

sorry to thread hikack, we bought a Black R32 Golf- its a mean little beastie, should be fun and safe...

Back to the thread:

Yes 20mph was miles off, and it did necessitate a real look at by the boys at ruf, it has been fixed and now the speedo is quite a bit more accurate (but still off really )

very best

I agree with Adam. Mind numbingly quick is an understatement.

Ruf Monkey,

Was the car a Ruf shop car? Or a private video made by a customer?

Great vid none the less. Thanks.
