Which short shifter, and how is install?

Since I am going to start a few small mod projects over the winter, thought a short throw shifter would be a good addition.

What do you guys recommend, and how is installation?

i would recommend the oem/techequipment shoft shifter kit, you can get it from brandywine porsche for a good price. helps you out with warranty issues later on.

From what I have read the B&M is the exact same thing as the OEM Porsche unit besides a different color. If you do not have a warranty I would go with the B&M and save some money. Thats is what I will be ordering up soon.

whatever is infamous around these parts
I also have the B&M. Makes world of difference in shifting. A lot more precise and sure improve upon the rowing a boat feeling with the stock shifter.
installation is not too bad, the hardest part I found is breaking off the white plastic pieces from the stock shifter. Other than that, it's not bad at all.

Anyone know how to contact Brandywine to get a price and order Tequipment shifter?

Markski originally came up with the idea that the factory kit will prevent warranty issues associated with 2nd gear pop out. I agree 100% even though B&M is exactly the same as stock part.

Go with the B&M in car or OEM porsche (same part number). Those are the only way to go. The ones that bolt to the tranny are pretty horrid imho.

I actually bought the Porsche short shifter from Brandywine Porsche today and had it installed today. What an amazing difference. Everyone should have the short shifter.
