Really? I've never heard anyone suggest you need turbo break-in? I've heard some people say that about clutches, but when I asked Tilton about this, they said just beat the **** out of it right after it's installed....

I don't.

We have seen to many rings slip in the turbo in the first 100 miles and cause premature failure. We sell about 200 turbos a year. We also are the largest tuner for older 930s and the failure rate is 3 times more if you do not seat the ring.

I only have experience with Garrett GT series and I have never heard of/experienced an early failure (assuming correct install)...so perhaps different turbos require different break-in periods....

They must be Kevin's (UMW) zero clearance turbos; when I gave my tech
Kevin's Turbo break-in sheet he almost punched me. I do not know why
he has such a laborious, almost impossible to follow turbo break-in????

This morning the windchill was about 10 below as we were loading the car for it's trip back to Texas. Poor truck driver about froze to death I think, lol.

Car looks great! Whats with that passanger side exhaust tip though? Also Woodster, this car is a gt700 so I doubt it has UMW turbos
