Strange electrical problem

I hope someone can give me some insight to this.

After about 5-10 minutes of running, I get a buzzing sound from the left front dash speaker. If I turn the headlights on and off it will stop. Must be something about changing the electrical load that does it.

Has anyone experience this, or know what could be causing it? Thanks in advance for any input!

Mark

are you sure it's not due to improper grounding of the audio system? this is more typical for custom jobs, but i can see it occuring on the stock system.

Not sure of anything really. The strange thing that it doesn't happen immediately, it takes several minutes to start, and then if I switch the lights on and off it will subside.

I have a fair amount of high-end aftermarket stereo experience, so I've dealt with alternator whine and grounding issues before, and this noise doesn't seem like that. Also the delay and the fact that I can make it go away with the lights leads me to believe it may be something else. Maybe it could be a bad speaker, I'm really at a loss.

I know the dealer won't have the first clue, so I thought I'd appeal to the wisdom of the forum!

Thank you!

Further info...when the buzzing starts in the speaker it also starts picking up alternator whine as well. But again, I can turn the lights on and off and everything will go back to normal again.
