Attn: 6speeders..any words of wisdom for me? changing my dv 's
Do yourself a huge favor and have some warm, soapy water for the "male" ends of the new DV's to slip them into the hoses. One in particular sticks out in my mind. I think it was while attaching the paired DVs back into the motor --- one hose down low stays attached.
I wasted a lot of time trying to shove that last connection home. Give it a touch of non-rubber-eating lube (like soapy water) to slip it in . . .

Just installed the Bailey DVs in my car following the instructions from AWE tunning. It took about 1 hour and 45 min. I used lockable needle-nose pliers to hold the factory clips compressed while pulling hoses and DVs out. I found that compressing the bottom clip of the front (deeper in the engine bay) DV is easier if you remove the F-type hose (connected to the side of the DVs) completely out first. This clip (as many others indicated is facing to the front of the car) so the only way to grab it was to twist the bottom rubber assembly (where the bottom of the DV's is connected) towards the back of the car and it was much easier when F-type hose was removed first.
I hope this helps.
