Is "Bar" a measure of boost?

What exactly is bar? Can it be related to lbs of boost? Can you determine how much power your making by it? What does it measure?

BTW met Neil today and will be sending my car to him for some goodies very soon..........

Bar is indeed a measure of boost pressure. 1 bar is approx. 14-14.x PSI!

CSD952 is infamous around these parts
If I remember my metric conversion 1 bar = 14.5 psi, not quite one atmosphere (14.7psi).

With that much boost you no longer need spark plugs or fuel. Just a really good head gasket. The pressure is enough for a 10 second quarter.

You got this far in life without knowing what a bar was? Never saw it on a pressure gauge or bike pump and wondered? Anyways google could have solved this for you. It looks like your kinda new here, welcome.
