Alpine Motorsports Club

Anyone on this board in the PA/NJ/NY area look into Alpine? Awesome concept of a "country club" built around a racetrack instead of a golf course.

I may check it out in the spring...

I think that I saw info about this at The Radnor Hunt last year or the year before. I had an E55 at the time and wasn't really interested....now withthe TT, it would be great. I would love to get involved too!

i acutally looked into it very seriously...

As of now, NOTHING is built...but the track is layed out and they offer tours of the place. The course looks GREAT...but permits STILL need to be issued and I have no idea when the final production will be. The fees are like 5k for 8 uses a year...or 33k or so for unlimited use...but after 10 yrs, you get 20k back IIRC...

For those interested...look into the new track that is going to be in NJ near Milvill (sp) Airport...that will be built buy the guys who did VIR

I had a meeting with the President of Alpine about a month back. They have a greeting house built in which there is a big "model" of how the track is going to be layed out and what it will look like. We drove around the 360 acres in a lifted jeep and it seemed very nice. I have a ton of literature he gave me on how things are going to be. He said construction is going to begin in the Spring of 07, and will finish by fall of 08.

I did not sign up yet as I want to check with my members to see if they would be interested in driving our club cars on the track. Tracks are not for everyone.

Hopefully all goes well and it does open. If it does, you will see me up there!

Drew, the track by the Millville airport is a different place? That is the one i thought we were talking about - so there are TWO tracks planned for this area?!!! That is great news...

So where is the place on the PA/NJ boarder??? North Jers (NYC area) or down by Philly?

It is a little bit north of Lehigh Valley, in between Route 78 and Route 80. http://www.alpinesignature.com/

I haven't investigated the millville one but that is farther from me - better for the Philly crowd. http://www.njmotorsportspark.com/
