Oil Catch Can Installation/Recommendations?

How does one plumb an oil catch can correctly using the stock pcv system? This is a simple question for an expected complicated answer.

Positive crankcase ventilation. Cranckcase fumes (oil) caused by blowby are circulated back into the combustion chamber via the intake manifold or the intake charge upstream of the compressor/intercooler to be burned again. This is done partly for emmissions. The catch can would condense the oil from the fumes when placed inline with the pcv system, in order to prevent any oil fumes from going back through the intake. Perhaps someone could provide an emmission control diagram? I would like to learn more about the pcv system.

It really wouldnt hurt and would probably be a good idea. I read a post here about oil being past the fill mark and then made its way to the intake to get burned (not good). But if the catch was there, no worries. It just remove extra oil so that your intake is cleaner that all. The problem is where do you put it?
