OK, I was driving down the street and came up behind a 996 C 4S.....blacked out with black wheels and an exhaust.....nice car.....he was driving pretty spiritedly and at the next like I ended up next to him......light turns green and as I slowly started out....he nailed it......so I hit it.....he got about a 2 length jump on my since he hit it first.....I bounced off the revlimiter in first AND second....doh! Little nervous I guess...and we stayed even up to 135....meaning I didn't gain an inch......

So I am thinking.....I am pushing at least 500 hp.....he must have been supercharged? Pretty fun regardless........

I agree! I would have thought I would have left him in the dust! Even with the poor shifts....that's why Im thinking....must have been supercharged.....

There are a few supercharged 996's out there EVOMS sells a nice kit.

 

When I was at vivid racing last week, they had a 2004 c4s in there and it dynoed I think 274 at the 4 wheels. Hard to believe it would keep up with you.

 

Just goes to show, you never know what's under the hood of the other guys car!

 

An SC 996 would keep up. A stock one would not even stand a chance.

 

car wasnt stock, thats why he had the ***** to line up with your car.

 

had to been supercharged no other way!

 

Maybe it was a Turbo with C4s badging..

 

If you lost a second on the start and a second on the overrev that would put you about even with a stock c4s.

 

I had a C2 before my TT, there is no chance an NA car can keep up.

Supercharged is my guess.
