Id race you though...
There will be an X50 at the day and also an 420bhp turbo

Also our car is stock

I'm glad you would race us, SV's are quick but not that quick though...

all the best

WHy don't you go toot your horn in some lamborghini forum, or did they ban you too.

Overall, your lamborghini is an inferior product to RUF or even Porsche IMHO.

Ellen, You are qouting the best times ever recorded for the Murci. Check out what happened when c/d test the 4000+ Murci and compared it to the GT2:

"You’ll be saying hello to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, equaling what a Porsche 911 GT2 can muster and 0.1 second quicker than a Dodge Viper. The quarter-mile slips past in 12.6 seconds at 116 mph, same as a Ferrari 575M."

All that huge performance advantage for the extra $200k in price

Again, the Murcielago IS quicker than the GT2, and the faster you go the more evident it is. I already said that the Gt2 is a better track car, didnt i?

Are you talking about the guy with a countach who bought a 996TT? I would hope that a 2001 TT could beat a car that was designed in the early 1970's on a track.

As for your high speed runs, ive been in both at very high speed and the Lambo is much more stable.

As for speed for long periods, Lambo World Record:

Yeah, much faster and quicker
From C/D-----------
Turbo X50 0-60 3.9 1/4 mile 11.9
GT2 0-60 3.8 1/4 mile 11.8
Lambo Murci 0-60 3.8 1/4 mile 12.6
price $375k 4000+lb car that handles great??

I don’t know why you guys are getting into a pissing contest over Lambos and Porsche, they are two completely different cars, Porsche = great performance, ok style at a fair price. Lambo = great performance, over the top “Look at me Please†Styling at an outrageously high price.
It all comes down to, what is really important to you, performance and value or performance and the added exotic flare (this comes at a premium, of course).

How you can only use Car and Driver which admitted that they drove a 25,000 mile VERY well worn demo car with a shifter problem?

so the Murci is now 375K? Funny, last time i checked they were 275K. Does it handle great for a 3800pd car? Yes it does. Please dont try to get into weight arguements with 3400+ pd Porsche, thats half the size of the lambo.

Dont forget to factor into the Murci price exclusivity, looks and feel. Everytime you are behind the wheel of a Lambo it is a special occasion. Porsche becomes just another car.

Ellen, keep asking for more proof, I'll produce the tests one at a time for you. Here you go:

Lamborghini Porsche
Testing Date 6/2002 6/2001
Engine 6192 cccm, 12 Zyl , 48 V 3600 cccm, 6 Zyl , 24 V
Power 580 PS (426 KW) 462 PS (340 KW) @ 5700/min
Torque 650 Nm @ 5400/min 620 Nm @ 3500/min
Transmission 0 (6) 0 (6)
Weight 1820 Kg 1450 Kg
Weight / BhP 3,4 Kg / PS 3,13 Kg/ PS
0 - 100 Km/h 3,9 s 4 s
0 - 200 Km/h 12,8 s 12,4 s
0 - 200-0 Km/h 17,8 s 17,4 s
Top Speed 330 Km/h 320 Km/h
80 - 120 Km/h 4.Gear 5,4 s 3,3 s
100 - 0 Km/h hot 36,4 m , 10,6 m/s 36,1 m , 10,7 m/s
Transverse Acceleration 1,2 g 1,35 g
Slalom Course 36 / 110 124 / 138 Km/h 128 / 154 Km/h
Round Time Nuerburgring 7.50 min 7.46 min
Round Time Hockenheim 1.12 min 1.12,6 min

I stand correct, these numbers really show of where that extra $125k you spend for a Murci really go. Must be performance and handling

Ellen, I agree with some of your assessments. Hell we argue all day why one should buy a Carrera over a z06. My point is, teh Lambo is a great car and of coarse I it would draw all kinds of attention as it is a great looking car(Murcielago, not Gallardo imo), but, once the luster wears off, at the end of the day, the GT2 performs better and has proven relaibility, the same cannot be said for any Lambo. Of coarse that is not the Lambo's goal. You must admit you are really an anamoly in the Lambo world. Not many Lambo owners are true entusiats much less use their cars daily.

Lou

Ok, ill have to go home and dig out my magazines for you.

As for where that 125K goes, drive next to a Murci a Diablo or even an old Countach, and you will know, when during that same time, you would feel as though youre driving in a 69 Beetle.
