Drop Links were problem

I recently installed the PSS10 system with HR front and rear sway bars. The front sway bar was set at medium stiffness [middle hole]. Front drop links came with the PSS10 system. After experiencing similar noise the tech put the car on the hoist and the drop links were rubbing on the PSS10 strut housing .... he flat filed the area of the strut housing where rub could be seen and we reset the link to the soft position on the sway bar and all noise disappeared.

I no longer have PSS9's. I went to Motons and got the TRW drop links when I upgraded my sway bars.

When I had the PSS9's, they would make some spring noise at low speed but as soon as some aero force loaded the car, all spring noise went away.

So how are the Motons? Much better?

Yes that's what I have; some spring twanging noises but only at low speeds and only sometimes when turning to full lock.

They make the same low speed noise but goes away at speed. The new suspension is way better, but that includes all the lower control arms, toe steer arms, upper control arms, bump steer front arms, sways, drop links, and locking plates. It's set up for the track but rides nice on the street when dialed back. A little stiffer but not bad. Great on track.

Mine makes this noise while turning the wheels at low speeds and while stopped. Mechanic checked it out a few months ago when it started and couldn't see any issues... said he thought it could be control arms. I have PSS10s on stiffest settings and H&R sways front and rear. But I had that suspension on and running for quite a while before I ever heard this noise..... hmmmm

Yeah mine was dead quite too to begin with. But now I feel temperature makes a difference. +30C in the summer = no noise. +10C noises start and spring twangging starts. below 0 (-C) dashboard starts to sqweak anyway. . I just gave up. These cars grown and moan and that's all that's to it. Just like me getting old and creaky.

My tech says drop links loosen as they wear. That's why we went with the TRG's. Very stout with wider hiem joint material.

Front strut mount and/ or bearing, probably.
