Wastegate dump - stock turbos
Wastegate dump - stock turbos
Has anyone tried to construct something like this (obviously will look different for the TT):

This isolates the wastegate exhaust from the main, and should result in more accurate boost control and a CRAZY sound when you get on it.
What do the exhaust turbine housings look like? It seems that the cats bolt right up to it?
Any thoughts on how difficult this would be to incorporate into an exhaust setup, or is there just not enough room to do it?
Thx

Great thought, but it can't be done...well not easily anyway. Look at 2 o'clock and you can see the WG door. How are you gonna do that?
Fortunately it is a really efficient design. That WG exhaust isn't going to interfere much with the exhaust of the turbine.

Wow, I didn't even know - thanks for posting the pic! Guess I'll go external then [adding to list].
With a stock wastegate that small, I'm confused that these cars don't get massive boost creep?
