First Kill ...
After months and months of procastination, I finally went to the "dark side" and had Kevin's UMW Stage II Zero Clearance Kit installed a couple of weeks ago.
The break-in period is a *****! Sorry to say … it was impossible NOT to boost during break-in. I was trying my best to keep the boost gauge at 0.0 for the first 100 miles. But for some reason, the thing has a mind of its own; it would occasionally boost 0.1 – 0.2 or so … even though I tried my best to gradually accelerate on 880 and 101.
After the initial break-in, I decided to give the car a whirl every now and then; unfortunately, it has been nothing but pouring rain here in the SF bay area. I figured that a few “burst” runs wouldn’t hurt. These ZC are unlike my K24’s… it used to hit hard at give or take 4000-4500 rpm … and practically nothing before that. As of the moment, it goes from 0.0 to 1.1 in a split second. WOW! By the time I look at my speedometer, its time to slow down.
Last week, I was taking my sweet *** time driving to work …all of a sudden I look up at my rear view mirror and this yellow Lambo is on my *** flashing his lights. So, I moved over and let him pass. Instinctually, I followed him … once again, I dunno what happened, since the boost gauge seems to have a mind of its own… the pair of ZC snails spooled up … 0.0 – 1.1 … spiking at 1.4. Holy ****! I have never seen how beautiful a Gallardo looks like on my rearview mirror. When I hit 150, I ease off. I looked at the guy as he catches up and he has that “wtf” just happened look on his face… he probably could believe that his “ultimate exotic” (in which it is) just had its *** handed to him by Kevin’s Stage II ZC.
I could only imagine what Kevin’s UMW Stage 3B could do…better yet…when’s the Stage 4 coming?

Ari, congrats. Now load up the race fuel file and have some real fun. It really is amazing how quickly those turbos spool up. Until you drive one you'll never really understand
