Damn the Z06!!
It's all opinion really. If you like the looks, performance, and feel of your Porsche, stick with it, and mod it (yes I'm a mod freak).
If you like the looks, performance, and feel of the Z06 more, then get it.
PERSONALLY I love the looks of the C6 Z06 almost more than any other car, but that's just my opinion and should have no factor in the car that YOU want.
Good luck!

Give up one of your older cars, and get the Z06.. F what everyone says, its an animal, looks great and build quality isnt all that horrible, i just wish there was a leather smell on the interior and not infused with plastic smell LOL, jk!
Its a sick car, i would get one in a second, over my Porsche's? Hell no! But to go along with mine? Yes..

check out what you can get a old zr1 for , they are in the dirt and will be until they are 20 years old.. your cuda and gto will only increace in value if they are correct.... having owned 6 vintage corvettes i can tell you they go up and down just like the stock market.... mine are gone now and i like to think i sold em at theright time.. reinvested the $$$$ IN AN EXTRA HOUSE worked out well
one more thought in 1984 (corvette body change) i came very close to selling my 60 vettte to get the new84 the 84 is now worth about $1000.00 and the 60 well i sold it for way more than that.... and it's current owner could prob sell it fo $60 or$70
I looked into the Z06 before getting my turbo. It was an amazing car, performance wise. Fit and finish was fine, just not great for a car that cost almost $80,000. If you get in one and squint, it looks like every other Chevy out right now. I would keep the classics, and maybe in a year or so you can pick up a pre owned Z06 so cheap that you won't have to sell anything to get you new toy!

So, lurking around 6-land, I've been going around reading various threads and came across this obnoxious video of a Z06 running the 997 TT.
So, all of a sudden I get online at Ebay to see what these dumb a$$ cars are going for and need to confess to my fellow Porschephiles that I'm actually thinking about buying one.
Believe me when I tell you, I do NOT have an infinite $$$ well nor am I a trust baby not to mention limited space, so all things considered I would have to trade/sell one of my other babies, either the GTO or the Cuda.
Can someone please talk me out of it?? I know as time continues, my cars will only continue to appreciate while the Vette will go the other way. I've also spent a painstaking amount of time and energy locating parts and piecing these together. The other major factor that keeps running through my mind is frivilousness. Between work and other obligations (family being the highest), can I really drive and enjoy the Vette AND the TT? At least w/ my muscle cars, I can put my kids in the back, wife (very reluctantly) in the front and go for ice cream on weekends. This Vette would be useless for anything other than goofing off. I'd feel foolish even pulling into client's parking lots vs. the Porsche.
AARRGGH. Someone help me?

and all the reasons to not. Sounds like you have a good start on the list.
For what it is worth, I am a previous Vette owner (3) and considered the Z06
when I purchased my 640GT. They were selling for $10K-$15K over MSRP
when I was considering the plunge. Love the SB 427ci great grunt.
But to the average Joe, they look like all the other C6's and definately @ 100yds. Seems everyone owns a Vette. And by the looks of your stable, your not one to be accused of following after everyone else.

With that said, I'm getting a TT because it has more power.

For all intents & purposes you would use the TTS and the Vette the same right? Don't sell one of the classics unless having 2 of those doesn't make sense either. You can always get another Porsche. If you drive a Z06 and it calls to you then sell the Porsche. You might be sorry and you might not.
keep your cars as is... if ANYTHING>.. sell the p-car for the vette.... but don't get rid of the classics.. Those are still going up in value.. Hell how often are you at the track anyways???
