problem with evo ic hoses

yeah, mine was similar type of kink on the other side. I posted a pic strange the pics have some how disapeared?

is there any problem functionality wise if there is a kink? I have an 01 with Silicon hoses and there is a kink in the hoses coming off the Y-pipe

kinks? nah,........problem waiting to happen?..maybe.

i'd be interested to see the pics you had before Oak, but either way, how did you solve it? On mine, it looks like it just needs to lose a quarter or half inch off it...or maybe go deeper into the plenum...

Any kinking will reduce maximum obtainable air flow. If it is the weak link then power should increase once removed.

I'm going to let you into another little secret, this is why the Samco hoses dragged on a bit before release. The end connections have slightly different widths. I bet most companies have used the same end connections! well when a connection is placed into the Y pipe, it's as tight as hell but put the same connection into either end of the intercooler and I guarantee you have slight play.

I'm going to talk to AP/Vivid today, but yea me thinks i should have gone samco.

Yip, they have been released now

My friend Dave will do you a set if you wish, he is shipping to your side of the pond, he is a spot on guy and was involved with myself in the set up/testing of these hoses.
