Very Happy - Stock Oem with emty Cats !

Hey folks,

I finished my project with the Oem exhaust. Bascially, I hollowed the first and second cats, on both side, out of my oem TT exhaust and put it back on the car. After 1000miles, all I can say is Wow. I am surprised to see that there is a mininnininininimal noise difference from the oem to the modified oem version (from the cabin, no drone or anything like that). Second, the turbo spool up earlier (about 3 to 500rev) but alot quicker. When I had Oem, the car was pushing progessively as the the bar goes up. With the empty cats, it's like "BAM", from 0.5 you go up to 1.1 and psm kicks in....I was never able to reach 1.1 bars with the oem (max 0.9) and now I am at a steady 1.1 bar.

I used to have fabspeed super sport Gt2, and to be honest, my butt dyno is saying that my car is a fun and as quick to drive. Maybe the dyno will prove a few hp less, but IMO, those hp does not worth the Drone and $$ to spend on , that is my personnal IMO

Doesn't the ECU look O2 sensors before and after the CAT?

I don't think any way around it. Some have done an O2 simulator?

I plan to install my 996tt straight pipes, for the compeditions and on road back to stock ones.
Question is that, does CEL mean that engine is going to safe mode or this is just a light in dash?
Or there is some way to avoid CEL?

Depending on how soon it comes on you could just reset with a OBD2 code scanner. I would not want to do it everytime I drive it but every 1k I would
