Painting progress pics

So, I had the local bodyshop paint and install my new GT2 wing blade.

I also had the front vents and lower plastic lip painted. Here is a before shot.

And an after shot

And one other.

I had the entire interior painted as well. I will have shots of that when I get the car back home in the next few days, once the weather clears a little.

Lookin GEWD Kevin!

Wing is hot...great addition to the rear...but the painted grills make a HUGE difference in the look of the car - in a good way. I thikn it looks 100 times better now from the front.

Nice!

PS: smoked headlights & taillights???

Jon,

I have been waiting for Arling to get a set of the tail lights in so he can smoke them and send them out for me. Not sure about headlights though, never seen them, and I am not sure how legal they would be.

Club411

The wing is the one from ebay. For the price its fine. Had to have about 2 hours of prep time done to smooth it out and repair one small crack. It looks good, not perfect. If it really bothers me, I'll sell it later and buy something different. But for now, its perfectly fine.

I had all the aluminum look trim painted gloss black to match the car. It really looks fantastic. I will take pics on Wednesday or Thursday when I pick it up.

Thanks for all the positive comments.

Man Drew,

You are going to become enemy #1 in my wife's eyes. Maybe you have a cheap jewelry store in the family so everytime I upgrade, I can give her a gift.

Kevin,

Car is looking great...I am headed in the same blacked out configuration when the car arrives...or when I find one! I think I am going to go for the CF wing and paint everything execpt for the underside! I can't wait to see the interior shots to get an idea...I was thinking red accents but I will wait to see your pics!

I am thinking of red gauge faces, seat belts and trim on new floor mats. I was going to go witht he carbon wing blade, but the carbon has a texture to it, and to paint it might look odd. I was afraid to make that commitment incase I didn't like it. You are real close, so if you want to get together and see the car, we can do it!.

Sounds good to me...perhaps we can set up a meet of something with more of the semi-local guys once the weather breaks so we can check out each others mods, etc?

Thanks for the offer!

Mike
