Yep, that is what you told me...look at the pics of the wheels and then look at my sig of the M3...see how they tucked? Is the car going to settle into that or are they wrong?

I'll check back later...so tired! beer and then off to bed!

Thanks again Brandon!

Mike,

Congrats on the car. I am glad that you like it and I am sure that it will provide you with many many many years of enjoyment. If you have any questions at any time, please do not hesitate to call or email me. The wheels look sick and I don't think that they stick out too far. Here is how the car looked with 19x11" HREs on the rear (in terms of how far they stuck out):

The suspension won't settle as I've had it on for 1 year. As we discussed earlier, it was setup for 19x8.5" and 19x11" on the HRE 540Rs.

Keep in mind that you have two options:

A. I had 19x11" wheels on mine, but yours are 19x12". I am sure that an 11" wheel would "tuck" better or get your offset checked out to make sure that it is perfect for the 996TT.
B. You can increase the negative camber (they are at -1.4 to -1.5 right now I do believe - factory spec). If you do that, you will get more inner tire wear.

Congrats on the car. It looks great. The wheels do look like they stick out a bit much. It might make for a lot of debris kicking up against the side of the car.

Its about damn time Mike hah, what a beautiful example and nicely modded... Listen wide aftermarket wheels always look weird on a turbo with near stock ride height.. Once you drop it and get some neg camber it will look perfect, congrats again

Yeah, there is room to drop the car a little more on the current setup. I didn't max out the rear height went I put the suspension on. He *might* have to roll the fenders if he does so, however.

With the new wheels look like it has alot of room to drop hah, and yes rolling the fender is necessary, had to do it on my ex-turbo that was LOW! What's great though, is that the JIC's low still have a great smooth ride, unlike the H+R's and PSS9's that get so damn bouncy and hit the bumpstops!

That's why I bought them. I couldn't have been happier with the JICs.

Congrats man. I FINALLY got mine last Friday. It an 01 Arctic Silver with 24K miles and so far I'm having a blast.

You did the smart thing...you preordered your wheels so they're good to go once you have the car

All,

Thanks for all the posts, I just got up and I feel like a train hit me! I was hoping to get around from adjusting the current set up as I feel the car is dialed in perfectly. I will try to call Vince tomorrow and see what he has to say about it, he is very good at taking care of my requests.

No one has suggestions on where to get black studs bolts? I will have to search around.

It is good to be home and I look forward to continuing my mods!

M
