Are you saying that if you go with 12" rears and a JIC c/o system you have to roll the fenders?

I have ordered 12" Iforged wheels and will have the JIC system put on my '03TT next week. Dan from Vivid made no mention of any fender rolling.

All depends on the offset of the wheels and most of all, how low you go

Got ya. I'm assuming since the folks at Iforged know the wheels are being made for a 996TT they will come with the correct offset. This, plus the fact that I will not be "dumping" the car (I'll have about 1 1/2 fingers of clearance) with the JIC set up.

BTW DEMON...you are right, the car is sick. Congrats man. We are getting a nice posse of Maryland TT owners now. Sounds like fun this Spring.

Congrats on the TT! I'm also installing JIC Cross from Vivid and I have 19" Champions with 235/315. I was planning on running GT2 height so I'm interested to see if you or amerlemans will have to roll your fenders.

It's going to depend on how wide the tires are (not all 315s are the same width believe it or not), the offset, how low you really go, and how much negative camber you dial in.

Congrats. A of us have graduated from the M3 school and have a soft spot for those cars.

BTW Iforged makes up to 9.5" fronts! I have never seen them on a car though.

12" rear IForged will stick out a bit (normal). It's the seal on the tire that you should be worried about. Had the same problem with my 315/25/19 conti's not sealing correct because they have to use a special tire mount. Wheels look hot, but do check the tires before your next 100mph run.

jimq - Thanks!

Beach_Bum - the wait is worth it bro! Can't wait to see what you pick up!

amerlemans - keep checking back on this post, I will post up my progress wtih the wheels for you

iLLM3 - good info bro...I don't want to dump the car just for looks, I want to keep it as function as Ruiner had it. I will try all options and let the coils settle first...

QUESTION - does coil-overs take more time to settle after raising the car? I had springs only on the M - thanks!

Ruiner - HS! I started her up this morning (took her to work) I KNOW ALL my neighbors got woken up! LMAO!!!!!

ari - really? I have the 8.5....9.5 would be crazy wide for the front!

NAPO - Thanks bro!

vincentdds - Thanks! I could not be luckier to run into a great member who kept me informed!

doccao - THanks for the info bro, what did you have to do to fix it? My tire guy knows about it and I am going to check to make sure the valve is tight, etc this afternoon...

ramone - face is Hyper Black and the lips are polished...brand new wheels so that are very clean! I gotta say the Hyper Black is so hot, I made the right choice!

ALL, thanks for all the comments and support, I really appreciate it...check back for updates and I plan on taking a nice photoshoot and seperate thread when I get the wheels installed and the car cleaned up again. I will have my friend included with a nicely modded LSB M3....

THanks again!

Michael

Mike,

Keep in mind (and I didn't think about it until today) that the GT2 (I believe) might have rolled fenders from the factory in order to accommodate the 12" wheels. I'm trying to recall the fenders on a GT2 and I remember one to be rolled, but I wasn't sure if that was after market or not.

As for your neighbors, they need a good "wake up" call.
