There is an issue with the car riding on the bump stops, essentially taking away the effectiveness of your suspension.

Im not sure how wide my wheels are technically. I had ron (Vipertestarossa) order them for me, as he is a dealer and had the exact same wheels on his tt, so I wanted the same specs. I've never really understood the desire for a wider wheel, if the tire is the same size? 315 on a 11" wheel vs. 315 on a 12" wheel? But knowing that the GT2 runs a 12" wheel, you shouldn't have any problems, except maybe having to roll the rear fenders, as the front ones come rolled from the factory.
Yea a 12" wide wheel with GT2 offset even a bit more aggressive shouldnt be an issue, but its also stepping up to 19's which did it for me as well as my LOW drop.. BTW i was in my ex turbo driving through the city and there is no room for fingers between the well and tire, we didnt scrape anything, its all a matter of driving and we werent inching around, also how well the suspension is!

Mike you have a cream of the crop suspension buddy, you should take full advantage of it, get to GT2 spec, corner balanced and so on and you will be even more blown away, as i mentioned before Topgun Tom has JIC LOW on his car and its smooth as glass, no rebound or bump stop issues.

Here are my 12's with 315's and being at gt2 height, no rubbing what so ever, 19's will surely make it rub like you have going this low, im positive!

When I had the JICs installed, I had them corner balanced with a 1' forward rake to pre-load the front (slightly) so that there would be less transfer on hard stops/braking.

Guys I just heard back from Dan at Vivid Racing and here is what he said:

I run it everyday (12" rears and MPS2 315/25/19 tires). You don't have to roll it at all. That is a fact.

You know what...I bet you I know what I did...I had the stock wheel on the other side and just lowered it down...I am sure that is something to do with it...I will report in a few days when I get everything straight along with pics...thanks for checking into this guys! I totally appreciate it!

-oh, and I will stop worrying!

VERY nice, what my car is going in for right now, fully dialing my suspension corner weight/balancing and rake setup, you did it right man, Mike is lucky

As I said on the other forums, congrats Mike! Me and a few AMG guys are going to get our cars dyno'd at Funktion Auto if you want to join us. I will also be doing a track rental at MIR either the last week of March or first week of April. Let me know if you wanna go.

Oh yea, and any locals are welcome to join as well.

Maxwell- Did you get new tires from Radial yet? I should be getting my DPE's mounted and balanced there this week.

Just remember:

Dyno'ing a 996TT in AWD mode requires a Mustang Dyno (mechanically linked). I really don't trust non-linked rollers as there is a possibility that they will slow down at different speeds and possibly fry the center diff.

If you do use a DynoJet or something along those lines, you can just disco the front drive shaft and run in RWD mode only.

Yea, you're right. I've seen both front half shafts of a 996TT snap on a dynojet (on decel). Funktion auto doesnt have an onsite dyno but I spoke with the owner and he will dyno our cars on a mustang dyno next door for $100. Only downside is mustang dyno's usually give lower numbers than dynojets

Ahmad, is he doing it at Curry's? That's where I had mine dyno'd, and it is a Mustang Dyno.

That is correct, but perhaps you will be pleasantly surprised by the results as well. Besides, if anyone asks you the results, you can always explain that it is on a Mustang Dyno. DynoJets aren't always going to give you the best, most real world numbers that are as accurate as a Mustang Dyno. Good luck!

Right on. Mustang > Dynojet for real world performance. I wouldn't want to get tuned on a non-loaded dyno anyhow.

Nothing much. How have you been? Its been a longgg time! If you wanna dyno you're more than welcome to join us (I dont know if you're still traumatized by those idiots at ProMotion Tuning) and i'll let you know about the track. I want more power but I've run out of reasonable options! Cams = 15-20hp for $5500, or nitrous 100hp for $2500. I'm working on getting a custom 80mm tb good for 25-30whp. I wanna break 11.5s and then I'll stop. The nitrous would put me in the 10's but I'm scurred of it

Maxwell- I dont know the name of the shop. He just said the shop near by has a dyno and he has access to it. You wanna hit the track? Divextreme will be coming out this time.
