we are not talking about Kevin tunning the car, but building the engine. I'm sorry I dont see how he would remotely be taking on risk for someone else's mistake.

The truth is (I'm not speaking for Kevin), most people don't like to touch other people's work! Maybe he wont want to work on a car that wont have his programing for Insurance purposes or maybe he's just to busy building my stage 4 turbo's

Sorry to continue the threadjack but Jags..it makes perfect sense to me. Why should he put his heart and soul into your motor if you don't want him to touch the car's brain? Clearly Kevin doesn't need your business and when someone gets to that point in his/her career when they can afford to turn down (or be unresponsive as you say) to customers, then you better have something special to offer them besides money. He's in this for the love of the cars and the respect of his customers, not for the dollars. Sorry to sound elitist, but we're a proud little pack...us UMW folk

Evoms, UMW, Proto,IA, etc they all are capable of building motors.
Some have done more then others... it all comes down to preference.

Don, sorry to hear of your unfortunate delema. Things do happen for a reason and now is the time to start fresh with a builder of your choice. What a work of art that could be to start with a fresh block and heads and build your dream motor. I have had the fortunate opportunity to build motors for many years and it is a real high... Good Luck in your decisions... Best Regards, Kenny

As far as the rev I think it happened after it blew. Yanked it out of gear alittle concerned with 20ft of flaming oil
