You know those cheap CF wings on eBay that everyone was talking about a while back?

Well, I bought one. And I must say; I'm impressed.

It's light, pretty much aesthetically flawless, and it only cost me $350.

Wow, that does look pretty good. Can you paint carbon without too much work? Is it a totally smooth surface?

I'm leaving it. It's just a OEM wing, not a GT2 or anything..but my stock wing has a relatively deep scratch in it that drives me crazy (only scratch I have on my car). I figured this be a good way to deal with it.

It could be easily painted. It already has a clearcoat surface on it. Smooth as a baby's butt.

I'll weight my stock wing when I replace it. It's definitely lighter, just not sure how much.

It's probably not 100% CF; but heck, I sure can't tell by looking at it.

350 bucks seems way too cheap for such a huge slab of CF. I get my CF direct from a manufacturer, and a sheet that size in 4mm would be at least 4x that. I'd be curious to see a cross section of that one...

Personally, I could care less if it's 100% CF or not (probably is not). But it's still light as heck and looks damn good.

Looks very nice, and shockingly cheap.
My g/friend just bought me a center console part for my F-348 that is about 5 inches square and that cost nearly $400.

Exactly. That's the difference in price between real and fake CF.

Glad these guys are happy with their wings, but comeon - I thought fake CF wings were reserved for the Fast-n-Furious Honda types...
