Dumb Oil Question
Mobil1 0W-40. Just for topping off it wont affect it too much but I could honestly not push the engine unless it had it the certain mobil1. Stay with what Porsche recommends. The weight is critical in turbo cars, or very high revving precise engines.
I have found it at every schucks in my area, and im sure it isnt that hard to find even at other locations.

In Florida 10w40 may be fine (I wouldn't tho) but in colder climates the higher weight will screw up small oil control ports in the variocam. Porsche specifies 0W-40 for more than fuel economy.

This car is an F2003 GA at the Monterey Historic at Laguna Seca. The car lightly bumped the tire wall and lost control at turn 6 just down from the hill that leads to the corkscrew. It wasn’t that hard, but it ripped the entire front off the car. It had been improperly extended to fit taller drivers. Luckily no one was hurt. Just needed a few Icepacks for the legs and ego.
