Need Advice - Which Car to Buy

Hey guys. Our President here is looking at picking up a new car. His options are a 996TT X50, 996 GT3, or Skyline R34. All 3 cars are ready to be picked up asap and a reality. Which one would you buy or your thoughts. Vote on the poll too. Friday we will have a decision!

Thanks
Dan

Skyline in my opinion is a very iconic race breed car and very rare to see in my parts on the east coast. The X50 from my readings is off the chart neck snapping acceleration. My vote would be skyline, but depending on what the car is going to be used for.

I fail to see the big fuss about the Skylines (driven a couple) - always go Porsche.

What does he plan on doing with it? If he is going to the track a lot there is only 1 option and I voted for it.

Wow, I'd hate to be in you shoes. I love PORSCHE, no dout about it, but when you talk about a Skyline..... well that changes everything. Being a owner of two PORSCHES I would have to say the Skyline. It's different and you can really make them move. Tuff call... but I think SKYLINE. good luck,

In Australia, where I originally hail from, a RB34 GTR is about a third of the cost of a 966TT. The original RB32 was developed to win The Australian Touring Car championship (which it did) and the Bathurst 1000 enduro which it did in both 1991 and 1992 before the governing motorsport body banned them. Australia ,was I, think the only country outside of Japan to get the original GTR as a sold production car. I owned and raced one for years and it was an absolute weapon in its day, new it was US$80K. The one area where I think the GTR has a distinct advantage is in it's 4WD, you can feel the GTR pull/drag you out of a corner where as the TT seems quite primitive in comparision. I seem to remember Nissan actually selling some of their 4WD technology to Porsche in the late 80's/early 90's, enough rambling.........

I'd take the TT!!

I assumed you president tracks his cars (that's the nature of his business) so I went with the GT3 for him.

I already voted with my wallet, so the answer is obvious for me but it depends on his intended use. Street/occasional track use car, go X50 but pure track car, GT3. Skylines are just to ugly to be seen in. IMHO

Was about to ask the same question: what for ?
As a pure track day car, GT3. As a week-end GT, mix of daily driver and occasional track day car, TT. Hard to fathom that a Skyline could be part of the mix.
