changing oil

hi everyone new to owning a porsche have had it for about a month,just finished porting and polishing stock headers and wanted to change oil and filter and wasnt quit sure on weight of oil and drain points on car. two drain plugs on crankcase and one on each turbo?, pics if aval. thanks

Crankcase,tank, 2 drips cans on turbos.
0-40 mobil one............ do not over fill!

Correct, 0/40 or 5/40. Drain all the plugs. The two on the turbo are the drip tanks the one on the case and the one on the oil tank. Make sure you use crush rings and the o-ring on the oil filter. When you are done fill about 8.5. You want it just shy of the full mark. It will smoke less on start up and if tracked will not push up into the MAF.

I use Castrol TWS Motorsport 10W-60, same as M3 CSL. Very good but expensive.

Anyone have any feedback/info on the TWS? I hear its "the bomb" and makes all other oils look like crap.

That weight oil is not on the Porsche approved list. There are no 10W or 60 weight oils in that list. 5W50 is the highest.

i talked to a p dealer mech and he said 50 was fine, especially if ambient temps are hot and the car is driven hard. i use 15w 50. My tuner recommended 60 even. But you'll find there's lots of opinions regarding engine oil.

dont forget to suck out residual oil from filter location and not to over tighten oil filter cap
