will a 275/40/18 fit on the turbo????

I am going to get some Nitto NT-01's but the only options I have is 315/30 and 275/40 in 18 for the stock turbo twists. I dont want more sidewall for sure because this os for track and the more sidewall, the less rigidity. Has anyone put 275's on their turbo wheels????

245 is the max front size that I have run.

Dez,
I believe that Nitto also makes a 275/35ZR18. Diameter is 25.55 as opposed to the tire you mentioned which is 26.55. Don't know if that would create problems with your AWD, but it could. Nitto also has a 245/40ZR18 which is 25.55 and would be a good match for the 315's you plan for the rear at 25.35. I went with the 235/40ZR18 with diameter of 25.39. I chose this over the 245's for not knowing if they would give any fender well problems. If you get the 245's then I will have a better idea as to fitment assuming our ride height and camber is similar. The 275's are going to want a wider wheel with the ideal being 9.5"

I want the 275's for the rear. The front is not an issue. I just dont want a bigger profile tire than stock.

Woodster and I both assumed you were talking about the front tires and not the rear.

If you are going for the 275's on the rear, then it seems that the 275/35 would be a better choice than the 275/40.
When you chase after some more horsepower, you may wish you had chosen the 315's

275's on the rear is a pretty "mousy" set-up.
run 295's (Minimum) on the rear!

The NT-01 seem to be available in a bunch of close sizes now:

225/40R18
235/40R18
245/40R18

No more horsepower for me Al, my car wont get anything more than an intake and maybe some diverter valves etc. to help hold boost. I am going to be running a agressive camber and pretty low (think GT3 height or lower) and 315's are too big for me. Handling over horsepower, my car is fast enough.

Width effects handling, too. Perhaps try finding a different tire that is the appropriate width and sidewall measurements for you?

GrettW is infamous around these parts
I would switch to another set of tires and maintain the stock sizes that originally came on your twists...

If handling is the key then stick to the stock Porsche tire sizes.

Your car will handle great! (I believe you did coilovers and a rear sway
also??)
