Finally took the RUF out...
Since the weather has been nice here in NY for the last few days I decided to drive the RTurbo a few more times before I sell it. Driving in to work I am at a light and I see an older guy in a 650ci with the top down. He pulls next to me, light turns green and the guy nails it. I was surprised he wanted to go so I hit it, shift to 2nd, 3rd. At 125mph he is a black speck in my rearview. Come to the next light and he wants to go again. It is amazing to me that people don't give up after a complete and utter slaughter. I didn't even go the second time I don't have to prove myself again. Anyway, why the hell am I selling this car? I want to kick myself every time I think about it, makes me sick to my stomach.
One of my local dealers will put the car on the showroom floor on consignment. He said their fee is 4%. Is that normal? I have never done a consignment before so I want know if that is fair.

Given that he floored it 2nd time around, I'd say that he was just enjoying his own car and didn't know you were out to prove something
Regardless, keep the RUF. Most of us wish we had one.

The reason I am selling it is because I bought another business in Sept. '06. It has used more resources than initially anticipated so I have to be a little more frugal right now. So I am selling it and my X5 4.6is and I picked up an '06 Cayenne Turbo S. Between the sale of the two I will have a very small payment left on the CTTS. I figure it will be paid off in about a year and a half when a few of my loans that I took out to buy the business will be done as well. At that point I will have a nice chunk of change going in my pocket instead of the banks and I will be able to rejoin the ranks. I will be getting a Gallardo at that point though. The only Porsche left in the family will be the CTTS. It is really going to hurt to see it go but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.
You will miss it but I am sure you will have the means to buy a better newer faster one soon.
I certainly dont have the money to buy it but I would love to see some pics if you have them laying around, you could consider it free publicity.
