Help! Losing boost

My car is an x-50 with upsolute chip. Been driving it everyday for the past month with the chip in it, no problems whatsoever, hitting 1.0-1.2 bar all the time. Well today I was driving and I noticed that my car wasnt pulling very hard, i checked the boost gauge reading and I was hitting a pathetic .05-.06 bar. About 10 mins later the boost returned to about 1.0 but the car feels somewhat slower. What the hell is going on? Have my Dv's started to fail? I've been driving the car for about 5k miles since I bought it used and I don't think the car had the aftermarket dv's installed. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance!

sounds like dv's or boost leak somewhere

don't worry. Usually it's a minor fix. I have been there many times.

The other issue could be if the car sees something in the envorment that it doesn't like it will slap the throttle body closed.

The temperature went up about 20 degrees since yesterday, I don't know if that has something to do with it. I guess I'll just order the dv's, put them on and see if that helps. Anyone else have any other suggestions for things I should check?

Give all the hoses surrounding the DV's a good tug. My problem was the cheapo clamps needing to be replaced with a screw clamp.

Most likely the DVs or loose hose...I would not worry about the ecu.

Yea, I'm not concerned about the ecu. I drove it today and it seems like it's not building boost fast enough during the beginning of the power band but at the end it pulls hard so i'm assuming that the dv's are failing and causing the car to not recover and build boost quick enough.

I was listening for the notorious dv "honking" but what I heard was more like a light whine under mild acceleration. It's Hard to describe.

Would the dv's make a weird sound even during idle? I'm not sure what I'm hearing but I drove the car today and it kinda makes a low winding sound, kinda like a quiet vacuum. If it was something serious like a turbocharger or something else wouldn't a check engine light come on? The car feels slow sometimes and fast others and it kinda stutters. Any other possible conclusions from you Porsche wizards?
