Dealership brakes price quote

My car has 47k miles on it and I haven't had any brake jobs on it since I got the car with 20k miles on it. Porsche says I need front brake pads and rotors and the price is $1,000. Does this price sound reasonable? Thx

A set of 4 rotors was 500 last time I bought a set from an internet Porche dealer, pads are a couple hundred. Labor an hour or two. Doesnt seem so farfetched for all 4 corners...not 2 . Kevin

Not out of the question....

Rotors are "even at discount" $120 per each... plus pads/ sensors .... Now you're up around $650 or so.... AT DISCOUNT. The work labor etc.

Best if you can do it yourself and save a few hundred....

That's right on for a dealer. I just got mine done at Speed Gallery for that exact price.

The dealers routinely charge $1,000 for front pads and rotors.

He installed them himself.....

$1000 for only the fronts is too much... If that's the case I'll open up my drive-way...
