Wheel specs the same for C4S and TT?

I am assuming you can interchange wheels between the C4S and TT since they share the chassis and suspension components.

On a lowered TT/C4S then, what is the prevailing safe sizing for 19" wheels (i.e. no fender modifications required)? Lowered as in not tucked in, but 0 to 1 finger gap all around.

Is it 19x12 running PS2 315s or does it need to be a more conservative 19x11, 19x11.5 running PS2 305s? What's the offset?

TIA,
Ben

You can run 19x12 and 19x8.5 don't know exact offset.

Iforged claims to make up to 9.5" fronts for the TT/C4s...???

I'd run 9's and 12's... 9.5' is an overkill and its not like your going to run anythign wider than a 245/35/19 anyways.

If you go to wider wheels, and the car is lowered, you may want to play with the offsets to make sure you have the right clearance for your typical use of the car...e.g. when you turn, go over bumps. Other options are rolling fenders a bit or adjusting camber.

Good luck! Lots of variables to play with...

hey, just watch out for heat problems...BIG, BIG problems...ala fire have occured by using 315s in the rear of a turbo...and the C4s would probably be affected by that issue as well...

Also, the PSM may not be happy...but...

All hearsay...

I never thought of it either, but I THINK if you search, you will find many places that say it can legitly can cause a fire...I know it sounds wierd...but...I wouldnt want to take the risk personally...

But your PSM will DEFINITELY have some issues if you are aggressive with your car...Im too timid to even go to 305s personally...

HOWEVER...that could all be just stuff that is problematic at tracks where you are generating the high temps...so...who knows...

I imagine that was from rubbing on the rear fender liners. I had some HRE's with 315's in the rear, and did notice some little rubbing on the rear liner at first, but not much. I did have to get the fender lips (?) rolled though to prevent outside scraping on the drivers side. My car is lowered with the RUF coil overs, so you may be ok depending on how low your car is...

My car is typical low as in 1 finger gap all around.

The 315 issue was unique to the 997 Turbo as there are hundreds of 996 widebodies in the US running 315s with no issues.

The offset in the rear is 48+. I'm thinking that's on the conservative side to allow for clearance without resorting to rolling the fenders which I want to avoid at all costs.

No offense, but bro, take time to read thoroughly before alarming unsuspecting members about potential fires caused from running wider tires which many, many people do.

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...&highlight=315

The issue is the dude ran wheels that are an inch in diameter smaller than stock rolling diameter which is just plain silly.

48?
OE rear offset on 11Js is 45.
Many add 14mm spacers to OE hollows taking them down to 30 or 31.
If you have a low suspension at that offset (and not a firm set-up) you may need fender prep.
11.5J.....add 6mm.

none taken, but the info I got wasnt just from here, my mechanic (a VERY, VERY experienced individual) warned me of exactly what I said with those sizes...and the PSM issues I talked about are still there...that being said, this is for the track...not the street...there are so many added variables at the track...and what may feel like a bit of rubbing and heat on the street...can turn VERY nasty on the track VERY quickely...

Its not that one's car will immediately burst into flames...its just that it as happened...and ya, the guy who did that on the 6speed forums was just plain stupid for using those sizes...
