So I have a fabspeed exhaust and now I am just itching to get the car flashed to feel the full benefit. I have an aftermarket warranty so I guess the question is three fold:

How long will the stock DV's last at 1 bar (it has 28k on it)?

Since generally these fail around 30k, will the company just pay to replace the stock ones and i can pay the difference to get the good ones?

If I pay to get aftermarket ones, will this affect the warranty?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

the stock DV's will be leaking soon im sure, its a good idea to do the DV's before or when you get the flash, the Porsche stock DV's list at about $100 each and the aftermarket DV's arent much more. as for the warranty you may want to ask the aftermarket warranty company, they are all different from my experience here at the dealer all warranty companies handle things differently

If the DV's fail, will the car just limp and only see like 0.4 bar? what is it like?

I kinda want to do the flash to break the dv's and have the warranty co pay the price for the install and stockers while I pay the difference. Quite devious, Thoughts?

Hey, if you have a good rep with a dealer, get them to order some aftermarket DV's for you under warranty. I have heard some dealers will do this.
I think also they will still boost, but take a long time and "honk" when they are failing. Not sure if the cars goes into limp mode.

I may have to use your rep with a dealer on this one, since it was the ride in YOUR car that has me itching!

Actually my dealer (Tischer) that I use would not do the aftermarket DV's under warranty for me. I think my mechanic that went to Stoler may do it....I will give him a call and ask him. If not, give TPC a call and ask them if they can can accept warranties and get paid for the work.
Also it was nice finally meeting you today. Next time you need to drive my car. You're going to get addicted with mods.

Wirx- do the warning lights stay on? Those almost sound like when a MAF goes bad right?

Bailey Motorsports valves are only like $300, why not just buy a set?

Yep, once one is fully gone it should throw the code.
Just replace them man, you may already have one failing...if you are doing software, then definitely swap them out.
